Taser Download Panel

The Taser Download Board - designed when the Taser X26 first came into operational use in the UK and has proven to be a valuable piece of kit when loading/function checking both the Taser X26 and the X2.

The purpose of the product is to defeat and capture the Taser’s barbs, in the event of a UD (Unintended Discharge) during the loading/unloading of the Taser.

Setup Instructions:

• When finding a suitable location, ensure that there is no risk of a door being opened into either the firing line or into the operator of the Taser;
• The unit must be secured to a wall at a comfortable height for users to stand in front of with the fasteners provided.

Guidance of Use

• Standard firearms safety procedure must always be followed using this product and suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must always be worn, eg Safety Glasses;
• The Taser must remain perpendicular to the impact face and should be aiming at the centre of the board;
• In the event of a UD, the user must inform the armourer and the unit should not be used until it has been inspected and deemed fit for purposed.

Inspection & Replacement

• Once a UD has occurred, the armourer should inspect the entire unit for any sign of tearing or penetration. If any of these signs appear the unit should be replaced.
